Dr. Michael S. Phillips is a globally recognized scientific leader and world expert in pharmacogenomics, with more than 30 years of experience spanning genomics, biomarker discovery, clinical diagnostics, and precision medicine. He has built and led regulated diagnostic laboratories and data platforms across academia, biotechnology, Pharma, and MedTech, translating advanced biology into clinically validated and commercially deployed products.

As Chief Scientific Officer at Reveal Life Science, Dr. Phillips leads the company’s scientific and translational strategy and has executive responsibility for the Biofluids business unit. He oversees the advancement and commercialization of Reveal’s biofluid diagnostic platforms, assay development, biomarker validation, and the Reveal Atlas™ discovery and analytics platform, with a focus on establishing Raman photomolecular signatures as a new class of oncology biomarkers.

Previously, Dr. Phillips served as CSO at Sequence Bio and held senior leadership roles at Genomics Medicine Ireland. Over his career, he has raised more than $100 million in funding, authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications, holds multiple patents, and earned his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.
