MD, MSc, FRCSC, is a Professor of Surgery at McGill University and a senior surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer. He is a former Chief of Surgical Oncology at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and has held multiple academic and leadership roles across clinical care, education, and research.
Dr. Meterissian is internationally recognized for his contributions to breast cancer surgery, surgical quality improvement, and innovation in oncologic care. He has led and participated in numerous clinical studies and has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is also deeply involved in training the next generation of surgeons and advancing evidence-based surgical practice.
