François Daoust, Ph.D., is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Reveal Life Science, where he leads technology strategy, product development, and clinical translation of the company’s AI-powered Raman spectroscopy platform, to which he has played a central technical role since 2016.
He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, where his research focused on large field-of-view Raman imaging systems for surgical guidance in brain cancer. His doctoral work resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications and patented technologies, and included the design, clinical integration, and validation of Raman imaging prototypes used in hospital operating rooms.
François brings deep expertise in photonics, optical system design, signal processing, artificial intelligence, and regulated medical device development. At Reveal, he is responsible for the evolution of the company’s core technology platform, intellectual property strategy, and clinical–engineering integration across surgical and diagnostic product lines.
He is recognized for bridging advanced optical science with practical clinical implementation.
